What Is ‘Everything’?

I have recently switched to bagels (with cream cheese and sometimes jam) for my breakfasts. I buy ‘everything’ bagels. What is ‘everything’? Who decides what counts as ‘everything’?

Ahh, a topic near and dear to my heart (and stomach).

I’m addicted to bagels like crackheads are to rock. Seriouly. They’re my desert island food.

What you get on an ET bagel is definitely dependent on where you buy it. But I have to say…I f*ckin’ hate caraway seeds on my ET bagel (or anywhere else for that matter).

Tyson’s bagel in er, Tyson’s Corner (obviously) has decent bagels locally. I’ve ordered bagels from H&H from NYC. They were OK the first day, but stale by day two (even tho they were frozen). Other bagels will last 3-5 days frozen with no ill effects. I was disappointed (especially at $24/dozen!).

Wegman’s grocery stores have decent bagels too. But I’ve recently given them up in favor of Tyson’s.

The Washington Post recently ran a short story about where to get good bagels in DC.

I actually just saw something on the Food Network about a place called “Murray’s Bagels” in NYC. I looked them up, but they don’t seem to ship.

Awesome post (too bad I just saw it and approved it out of my spam filter).

I have no idea whether I like caraway seeds, but based on your Wiki link, they seem terrible (on paper..er…electrons).

I’ll have to try the Tyson’s Bagel for sure.

You should give Montreal-style bagels a go. I wouldn’t say they beat NY-style, but it’s a good alternative.

At some point I’ll stop in and say hey to you guys. Been super busy lately.

Caraway seeds are the little bananna-shaped seeds in rye bread. Not my thing, but I guess some people like them. I mean…somebody is buying all that rye bread you see in the grocery stores.

Stop in any time. If yo ucan pull it off around lunch time, we should get a group together and go grab some grub.

Ah, then I like caraway seeds. I dig my seeded rye. In fact, I’ve said before how it’s difficult to believe there are people out there who don’t dig seeded rye. Hmph.

Cool on stopping in. This week isn’t so good as I’m putting in a bit extra work to help the ol’ company out (it also helps my paycheck), but yeah, I’ll figure out a time when I’m free soon and do it.
