Life Update and Aim To Write More

I haven’t written on this site in forever, and I miss doing it (especially for the music). Now that life has settled a bit, I plan to write more often.

As a way of catching people up: I bought a place, moved in, and am mostly settled. The major goal now is to decorate and set the place–and, thankfully, EP is doing a great job helping me in this regard. I just switched projects at work and love the new responsibilities and environment. And my hiatus from frequent travel has ended (which probably is not a good thing for this blog).

Now I just have to survive this housewarming party…

Just Turtles Site Opened

I adjusted the Just Turtles Web page so that it is not password protected and visitors have access to more-or-less finished songs. The remaining two songs, which will unlikely ever be finished, are still locked behind a password protected cage. Also, the links were updated on the Projects page.

Just Turtles was a mini-project involving me and two friends. We wrote and recorded four songs, with fifth joke-y song added later. The remaining unfinished songs are definitely our best, which is too bad because they are not finished.

The above-mentioned joke-y song is a Krauty minimalist track I whipped up with vocals taken from JB outtakes. Normally, this type of song is not noteworthy, but while catching up with the kids, I noticed that our (circa 2005) song is eerily similar to Simian Mobile Disco‘s Sleep Deprivation (from the 2007 album Attack Decay Sustain).
