Bands MIA In DC? (continued)

I have not heard the new Murs and 9th Wonder album, but I am excited. Too bad the pleasure of listening won’t be met by the pleasure of seeing, since Murs and 9th Wonder will not be stopping in on DC–despite traveling throughout the area. I think this is less of a 930 Club problem and more of a lack of good hip hop facilities. DC9 has sort of been more pro-hip hop lately but that’s not much.

Promotion!

I have been promoted at work from Assistant Managing Editor to Online Content Editor. The position is a new one and is geared to improve our online publishing push.

I see three main tasks:

  • Better leverage our content and existing products for the Internet
  • Plan a editorial strategy for online content
  • Launch a global warming site similar to /. or Boing Boing

Should be cool!
