Does The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Do Anything Well?

I do not know much about the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. I do know, however, that they do not regulate odometer readings. And now Honda faces a lawsuit.

I also know that NHTSA is an industry darling at not requiring significant safety improvements from auto manufacturers.

So, what does the NHTSA do that is good? Honestly.
